PERRY WORKS is the newest programming option through the PACE after school program at the High School.
PACE provides year-round enrichment programming that addresses unique and individual needs of our students. Every student deserves a pathway to complete a post secondary degree at college or trade school. Every student deserves support toward a prosperous and positive community life!
Sessions are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays 2:45-3:30 starting March 23rd through May 27th. Transportation is provided at the conclusion of the PACE program at 4:45.
Through the PACE program students can partake in the PERRY WORKS experience. The PERRY WORKS program will provide students with personalized experiences initially related to both self and career exploration. Students will complete a variety of inventories and assessments to get to know themselves better in terms of their individual career goals.
Next, students will explore careers that align to their interests. The PERRY WORKS program is designed to connect students with summer employment opportunities or possibly even an entry level position after high school graduation. Students will engage in scenarios that require them to problem solve common work place situations related to communication, problem solving, and teamwork.
Finally, students will have the chance to develop a resume that stands out from the pile! They will practice commonly asked interview questions to ensure they are prepared for the interview experience. The PERRY WORKS program hopes to connect students with employers through a jobs fair held at the High School on May 20th.
